Tags are topics you can write about. Examples:
- Abstract Chain: General Abstract blockchain content
- DeFi: Decentralized finance protocols
- NFTs: Non-fungible tokens and collections
- Lil Pudgys: Specific NFT collection
- Trading: Market analysis and trading content
Tags Build Content Hubs: Each tag creates a content hub. When you write about a tagged project, you’re contributing to a comprehensive resource that helps readers understand that project’s place in the Abstract ecosystem.

Smart Tag Mentions
Writers can now easily link to projects, tokens, and topics directly within their articles using Smart Tag Mentions. This feature allows you to create interactive references that enhance reader experience and provide valuable context.
How to Use Smart Tag Mentions
- Type
@ followed by the tag name in the editor (e.g., @bitcoin)
- Select the correct tag from the autocomplete dropdown that appears
- The mention will be inserted as a handle (e.g.,
@bitcoin)
What Readers See
On the live site, these mentions automatically transform into interactive Smart Chips that display:
- Project/Tag Name and Logo: Visual identification of the mentioned project or topic
- Live Market Data: If the tag is a crypto asset, it shows:
- Current price
- 24-hour price change
- Direct Link: Clicking the chip takes readers directly to that tag’s dedicated page
Best Practices for Smart Tag Mentions
- Use mentions naturally within your content when referencing specific projects or tokens
- Don’t overuse mentions - they should add value, not clutter
- Mention tags that are relevant to your article’s topic
- Smart Tag Mentions work with any tag you have access to
Smart Tag Mentions are a great way to provide context and help readers discover related content. Use them when you’re discussing specific projects, tokens, or topics that have dedicated tag pages.
