Embedding Content

Embedding Tweets

To embed a tweet, use the following format:
Big news from @AbstractChain:

![Tweet](https://twitter.com/AbstractChain/status/1234567890)

This changes everything for DeFi on Abstract!
Format: ![Tweet](url to x post)
The editor will automatically format Twitter/X links if you paste them as plain URLs. You can either use the formatted syntax above or simply paste the URL on its own line.
Best practices:
  • Add context before the tweet to explain why it’s relevant
  • Add commentary after the embed to provide additional insights
  • Use tweet embeds to cite official announcements and sources

Embedding YouTube Videos

To embed a YouTube video, use the following format:
Here's a tutorial on using Abstract Chain:

![YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIDEO_ID)

This video covers the basics of DeFi on Abstract.
Format: ![YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIDEO_ID)
The editor will automatically format YouTube links if you paste them as plain URLs. You can either use the formatted syntax above or simply paste the URL on its own line.
Supported YouTube URL formats:
  • https://youtu.be/VIDEO_ID
To create a clickable link, use standard Markdown link syntax:
[Link text](https://example.com)
Examples:
Visit the [Abstract Chain website](https://abs.xyz) for more information.

Check out this [DeFi protocol](https://example.com/defi) for yield farming.

For documentation, see the [official guide](https://docs.example.com).
Best practices:
  • Use descriptive link text that explains where the link goes
  • Link to official sources and verified information
  • Use links to cite sources and provide additional context
  • Avoid generic link text like “click here” or “read more”

Smart Tag Mentions

You can easily link to projects, tokens, and topics directly within your article content using Smart Tag Mentions:
  1. Type @ followed by the tag name (e.g., @bitcoin)
  2. Select the correct tag from the autocomplete dropdown
  3. The mention will appear as a handle (e.g., @bitcoin)
What readers see: On the live site, these mentions automatically transform into interactive Smart Chips that display the project/tag name, logo, live market data (for crypto assets), and a direct link to the tag’s page. Example:
The recent developments in @bitcoin have sparked renewed interest in the crypto market. Meanwhile, @abstract-chain continues to innovate with new DeFi protocols.
