## Overview
Understanding the different roles on Eureka News helps clarify the content creation and management workflow. Each role has specific capabilities and responsibilities that work together to maintain quality content while enabling efficient operations.
## Writers
Writers are the foundation of our content ecosystem. They can:
* Create and submit articles for review
* Request access to tags/topics
* Manage their profile and author page
* View their published articles and stats
All articles go through editorial review before publication to maintain quality and accuracy.

## Editors
**Editors have all the capabilities of writers, plus additional responsibilities:**
### Editor Capabilities
**Everything Writers Can Do:**
* ✅ Create and submit articles for review
* ✅ Request access to tags/topics
* ✅ Manage their profile and author page
* ✅ View their published articles and stats
**Additional Editor Responsibilities:**
* **Breaking News Publishing**: Publish time-sensitive updates that go live immediately
* **Article Review**: Review, approve, request revisions, or reject writer submissions
* **Tag Management**: Assign tags to writers and manage tag permissions
* **Content Curation**: Help organize and prioritize content across the platform

## Staff Members
Staff members manage the overall platform and ecosystem:
### Directory Management
* Maintain NFT collection listings (images, descriptions, links, market data)
* Manage token directory entries (prices, trading data, descriptions)
* Organize content syndication based on tags and relationships
* Ensure directory information stays current and accurate
### Tag System
* Create and manage tags for the website
* Edit tag descriptions and organize hierarchical relationships

* Approve editor assignments
* Delegate tag permissions to writers and editors
* Manage user access and permissions
